I don't know about you but when I needed new ideas about background patterns and fills for machine quilting the backgrounds and fills on my quilt tops, I have way toooo much ambition and not enough time.
If you are like me it is tough to figure out background fills that don't take a lot of time to mark and stitch yet, still have the proper density.
I like to quilt as I go, but sometimes wait until the end, then go back and do the fills, mainly because I haven't decided what to do.
...And when I don't have a plan I end up OVER-QUILTING!
When I started out I used the same old patterns over and over. Spent hours marking on the dining room table lining up 2-3 rulers at a time. It took a lot of experience, several backaches, and over-quilting to realize that I should create some patterns that I could add or subtract lines, adjusting the density for the size and overall look and feel of the quilt top.
Now that I have nearly 20 years of machine quilting experience I felt it was time for some Essential Background and Border Stencils. They work with all quilt styles from Traditional Baltimore Albums, can't get more traditional than that, to Modern Quilts. And a lot of my students have been asking for stencils as well. So I decided to give you the Line Dance Series.

Here they are all 8 of them. Add lines, subtract lines, use every other line, angle them and overlap too. These are
12" x 12" with a few larger and great in borders.
